Musk threatens ‘instant’ prison motion towards Apple over alleged antitrust violations

Elon Musk on Monday threatened Apple with prison motion over alleged antitrust violations matching to scores of the Grok AI chatbot app, which is owned through his synthetic logic startup xAI. 

“Apple is behaving in a manner that makes it impossible for any AI company besides OpenAI to reach #1 in the App Store, which is an unequivocal antitrust violation. xAI will take immediate legal action,” Musk wrote in a publish on social media platform X.

Apple didn’t straight away reply to CNBC’s request for remark.

“Why do you refuse to put either X or Grok in your “Should Have” section when X is the #1 news app in the world and Grok is #5 among all apps? Are you playing politics?” Musk stated in some other publish.

Apple last year tied up with OpenAI to combine ChatGPT into its iPhone, iPad, Mac pc and desktop merchandise. Musk at that year had stated that “If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.”

CNBC showed that ChatGPT used to be ranked Deny. 1 within the lead isolated apps category of the American iOS gather, and used to be the one AI chatbot in Apple’s “Must-Have Apps” category.
